This course seeks to empower individuals to explore their personal narratives through a biblical lens, offering healing and restoration through the transformative power of God's Word. This will be a safe and supportive environment for participants to uncover and process past hurts, leading to a renewed sense of purpose and hope in Christ.

The Goal

The Goal

The goal for participants in the "Healing Your Story" class is to experience healing, spiritual growth, and transformation by examining, understanding, and ultimately surrendering their personal stories to God and one another.

Through this process, participants can cultivate a deeper relationship with God, find inner peace, and step into a more intentional and purposeful life aligned with God's plan for them. Past stories of harm hold no power nor define the future of participants.

The Roadmap

Contemplative Worship, Topic Teaching, Individual Stories, Prayer. Each participant will take one of the weeks to share their story with the group.

The Materials

Course materials can be downloaded at the time of class registration/payment or hard copy materials can be shipped for an additional charge of $20 to the class course fee. Course includes a weekly class, 2 hours per session for 6 weeks. Class size is limited to 5 participants. Intake forms must be completed prior to the first class.

There is power in healing through Community. Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Heartbreak and Trauma is not something that most people talk about. Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Places of harm in my Story need to be named for the purpose of releasing past hurts and releasing power over me. James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

Safe community for stories can be a powerful change agent for healing. Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

Suffering is the gateway that produces hope. Romans 5:3-4 "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

God’s steady hand of faithfulness is ALWAYS in our stories of pain and suffering. Lamentations 3:22-23 "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

God promises to never leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
